EG4 analysis meeting February 4th 2011
Present: Krishna Adhikari, Alexandre Deur, Hyekoo Kang, Sebastian Kuhn, Xiaochao Zheng
Report from Xiaochao Zheng
Xiaochao looked some more at the PF analysis, trying to figure out the systematic error. See her detailed report on her wiki at today's date. She applied Fcup/BPM corrections to her PF analysis. For 1.1 GeV, she found a PF of about 0.75 to 0.8. Overall, it seems her PF results are correlated with beam energy (the lower beam energy, the higher the PF) but it is unclear whether this is just coincidence or a true problem.
Xiaochao talked to A. Afanasev regarding the RC. Andrei replied that those were very small for EG1a. So Xiaochao won't do them.
Report from Krishna Adhikari
We discussed Krishna's results on charge/Fcup ratio (see report on his wiki). He updated his stability table (here) with polarized yield difference. He plot it file by file (but there is not enough statistics in that case) and run by run. Also stats is limited even for the run per run analysis, the plot is instructive and a number of runs stand out (probably due to errors in the master table. Xiaochao will investigate this). In order to have a better statistical significance, Alexandre suggested to combine all runs belonging to a stable duration, according to the unpolarized yield. Sebastian remarked the Fcup/bpm correction need to be added to this analysis (done for unpolarized but not for difference of polarized cross-sections).
Report from Hyekoo Kang
Hyekoo is revisiting his fiducial cuts for his PbPt analysis (these are tighter than the actual fiducial cuts, so that the acceptance within is 1). He showed plots (see his wiki) of fiducial cuts for the 2 highest energies and relative comparison for theta and phi scattering angles. These look good. He is working on computing the cross-section for these 2 energies.
