This photo from 1996 features a view from the back of the CLAS detector
into the inside before it was fully assembled. The six Torus coils are visible
(2 coils at the bottom are covered with plastic tarp). The bore in the center is
for the electron beam to exit during experiments.Also visible are the six sectors
formed by the Torus coils where the region 2 drift chambers are installed.
